Tarot - The Lotus Blossom Spread

My money journey has been filled with ups and downs and it’s been a primary focus lately.

Not in regards to just money, but resolving any issues around it so that I can embrace the natural abundance of the Universe.

With that, my journey took me to several crystal classes at my favorite local crystal shop.

I’ve gotten to know the owner/teacher (Athena) over the last few months and she has a “no nonsense” way of pointing things out that can really trigger a trigger.

Between classes, while I was there for a random shopping spree, she noticed that I was still limiting myself on what crystals I was buying and asked me point blank:

“What’s really holding you back from prosperity?”

I froze on the spot.

Any answer, excuse, or thought around it vanished from my mind.

I honestly couldn’t think of an answer for it.

When I finally recovered, I had a laundry list of symptoms of why I “couldn’t afford” the bigger rocks.

We chatted about business and niches and ideal clients, and although I felt better, I still felt like I was missing something.

I got home that night and reviewed every deck I owned.

I was looking for something prosperity themed (or even money related…).

I don’t own anything that’s specifically geared towards those topics and was slightly annoyed that they weren’t in my inventory.

My intuition guided me towards the Kuan Yin oracle by Alana Fairchild. 

My first thought was that maybe I needed to forgive myself or someone for my prosperity blocks.

I browsed through the guidebook and landed on “The Lotus Blossom” spread.

I read the description and realized this was why my intuition had guided me to the deck.

I wasn’t supposed to use the cards, but this spread was going to help me get some answers.

After reviewing all my decks again, I saw one of my favorite decks out of the corner of my eye.

During the Kickstarter campaign, I had manifested a very special deck from that collection.

Of the 2,000 created, mine was “1,888/2000”.

The 888 jumped out at me as a sign of abundance and prosperity.

The Universe was guiding me towards all these things and I was gladly following the path.

I gathered all the elements, sat down at my desk, and got ready to read some tarot!

This spread is designed to help you move through any block that is bothering you.

That’s what really stood out to me when I found it in the book. 

Right after Athena had asked what was blocking my prosperity, this spread promised to help me identify it.

And it did not disappoint.

The spread is set up into four cards:

1. Card One: Heart of the Issue

2. Card Two: How can I best grow to heal the real heart of the issue? (The best pathway or approach for you to take to heal the genuine issue at hand)

3. Card Three: Special Guidance (a card of communication from your Higher Guidance)

4. Card Four: Guidance for the Future (a card that gives a sense of the bigger picture of where you are progressing spiritually as you heal this issue)

I added a 5th card because it jumped out during the shuffling process.

Cards don’t normally jump out during my readings, so I wanted to make sure to pay attention to it.

I’ll spare you the details of the spread (although I include it here for reference).

But the overall theme was that I was the one blocking my own prosperity.

I wasn’t fully trusting in my abilities - my energy work, my reiki, my psychic skills, etc.

Let alone I wasn’t fully stepping into all the power that’s inside me.

I was letting distractions take over my life rather than committing to the goal of what I wanted.

And I was letting my conscious thoughts be focused on the money of my business rather than the service of my business.

(I realize that both are important, but so is the distinction of focus. If you’re only focused on the money, then you lose something special energetically.)

I changed my phone background the next day.

I found a background that reminded me to fully embrace my power and step into my light.

My focus was to find new ways to serve people, to meditate more often, and embrace my shadows.

Did things change overnight? Not drastically.

But because of the new found power and focus, I started to manifest more and more money.

I manifested $800 in cash within the next week to help pay some bills.

I deleted Twitter and Facebook from my phone.

I launched a totally new, “spur of the moment” offer on my site and got a sale.

Step by step, I continued to find new ways to embrace my power on all levels.

I’m thankful that my intuition guided me towards both of these decks because the reading was definitely powerful.

It’s been a month since then, and I’ve continued to refer back to the ideas that came from this spread.

Let alone the constant reminders from my phone background.
