“Weird” Reiki

Weird Reiki for you to try here, there, and everywhere

Reiki is only limited by your imagination.

This is a point I repeat over and over in every one of the classes I teach.

When students first start experimenting with Reiki, there’s always the same question, “Can I Reiki _____?”

And the answer is always “Yes!”

Objects, Items, & Things

I always share the story of a work event when our portable register wasn’t working.

The staff had been trying to fix it all morning when I showed up for my part of the shift.

They had tried all the normal tech fixes. Turning it off and on, letting it update, taking out the battery, etc.

And yet nothing was working.

So I took a step around the corner, went “Reiki on”, drew CKR on the back of the register, and then spent a few moments giving it Reiki.

I turned it off and on again and BOOM, working good as new.

All it needed was a little Reiki and everything was working again.

There are plenty of other examples of using Reiki on weird objects.

A teacher of mine uses it on her ice maker when it stops working.

My best friend uses it on his safe when it gets stuck.

It might take a little imagination, but the answer is always yes to Reiki.

When something isn’t working in your life, try some Reiki and see what happens.

Friendly reminder: Reiki works for the highest good, and some things are meant to stay broken. 😢

My car battery died once and no amount of Reiki was able to get it jump started.

There was a bigger lesson around that so while the Reiki wouldn’t start the car, it helped everyone stay calm regarding the entire situation.

Self Reiki Situations

While using it on objects is the first place my mind goes, the next weird Reiki topic is using it on yourself.

Of course, self Reiki is something we teach in Reiki 1.

Especially when talking about committing to 30 days while the attunement integrates.

That’s great for when you’re carving out time in your home to meditate.

But what about the weird and stressful situations out in life?

The joy of Reiki is that it’s easy to use and you can always turn it on whenever you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or just tired.

At the Gym

I started using Reiki at the gym when I was feeling really sore and tired one day.

I wasn’t feeling very motivated to start the workout, so I jumped on a treadmill and turned Reiki on.

I’m sure you’ll be surprised at how I started to feel more energized and a little less sore. 😅

It helped get me through my workout and then I made a point to really connect in with my body during my cooldown.

I felt the Reiki flow again and borrowed a technique from yoga.

As I was stretching, I focused on the tight spots and breathed Reiki into those areas.

It was pretty amazing and now I start and end every workout with a little bit of Reiki.

It’s quick, easy, and helps with my physical recovery!

At the Doctor’s Office

Whether you go yearly, quarterly, or weekly, the doctor’s office can be a stressful place.

You’re usually surrounded by people that don’t feel good, while you’re not feeling good.

Now imagine that same scenario except you’re using Reiki on yourself and your aura.

You’ll instantly feel better.

Reiki not only helps to calm your nervous system, it’s energizing all your cells too.

It might not be instant, but you’ll start to feel the change in yourself and even the environment around you.

All with nothing more than going “Reiki on”.

This has been a game changer for my dental checkups.

I’m not sure anyone actually likes going to the dentist and having people poke around in their mouth.

It used to stress me out so much that my face would break out before every visit.

Then I started using Reiki at every appointment.

I’d start with some future Reiki the week before and use HSZSN to send Reiki to my appointment.

Then on the day of the appointment, I’d sit in my car before I went inside and get all juiced up on Reiki.

I’d continue to let the Reiki flow while the hygienist and the dentist did their work.

Since I’ve started, my dentist visits have been the easiest of my whole life.

And no more breakouts! (At least regarding the Dentist)

You can do this for doctors, dentists, specialists, and even for surgery.

I’ve noticed it just makes everything a little bit easier, smoother, and less stressful.

Rush Hour Traffic

And on the note of stressful, commuting to and from the office is a great place to practice Reiki.

I tend to need it most on my way into the office, when I’m rushing to get to work.

When I’m stuck behind someone that’s going 10 below the speed limit in the far left lane, I reach for Reiki.

I take a deep breath and visualize the Reiki filling my body and immediately feel calmer.

I let up off the gas and start to actually enjoy the drive.

The opposite happens on my way home from work as I’m sitting in bumper to bumper traffic.

I’m feeling calm, but can feel all the emotions radiating off the drivers around me. #EmpathLife

Since I’m not moving, I take one hand off the wheel and put it to my heart for a little self Reiki.

The effect is pretty instant.

I’m smiling and I’m not even mad at the person that’s blocking traffic trying to merge into a line of cars.

Leisure Time

Hopefully this is the complete opposite of stressful for you.

Whether it’s watching TV at night with the family or settled into your reading nook with a good book, take an intentional moment to connect with Reiki before.

It adds to the quality of the recovery when you’ve got the extra energy moving through you.

There are times I’ll be reading with one hand holding my book and one hand on my stomach, feeling the flow of Reiki into me while I relax.

This also works great for a quick nap at any time of the day.

Experiment

Try it out yourself.

Think about how you can bring Reiki into every moment.

All it takes is the intention to go Reiki on (and a few deep breaths help).

What weird objects or situations are you going to try Reiki on next?
