The Power Bracelet

Easily bring crystals into your day with a crystal power bracelet

It’s no secret that I love crystals.

They’re all over my home, my car, my office, and always in my pocket.

And of course there’s always a bracelet on my arm.

My crystal bracelet journey actually began like any other…

In a metaphysical shop, smelling the incense, and being guided to something pretty and powerful.

Of course it was tiger’s eye and chakra stones.

It then became a hobby, when I walked into a craft store and found the bead wall.

Rows upon rows of all the colors, shapes, sizes, and sparklies that I could even dream of.

More than a hobby, it became an escape for me.

While I was going through my breakups and learning how to be single, spending time shopping for sales on beads helped me to process.

I would take inspiration from the crystal stores I saw online and started to make my own.

Gotta be honest, in some cases, it would have been cheaper to just buy the dang bracelet, but my spirit was leading me to something different.

I eventually found Bead World and was able to find individual beads, which saved me money and allowed me to pick a little here and there.

The coolest part about making my own bracelets was that I could fine tune the energy to be exactly what I needed.

I started with copying other designs and creating chakra bracelets for myself.

They were reminders to keep my energy lined up and balanced.

Then I started adding charms and other various beads to help me with other areas of my life.

Tiger’s eye for some extra Leo confidence.

Amethyst for the reminder to trust my intuition.

And LOTS of aventurine to help my luck, open my heart, and bring in more money.

Over the years I’ve created a new power bracelet whenever my goals change or when my old bracelet breaks.

When they break on their own, it means it’s time to upgrade, and that I’ve learned the lesson.

This actually happened pretty recently.

I had made a power bracelet with the intention of helping my business, building my confidence, and fully using my intuition.

One day, after I got home from an especially long day at work, it literally exploded off my wrist, and beads flew all over my room.

I had to completely sweep under the couch to find the last ones, but I managed to collect them all and thank them for their service.

I then put them all in my Reiki Box to recharge and be ready for the next bracelet.

Making your own Power Bracelet is a practical and powerful way to bring crystals and your intention with you wherever you go.

Make Your Own Power Bracelet

  1. Brainstorm your bracelet and intention.

    • Before you even go to the craft store, take some time to figure out what it is you’re looking to do. Take some time in meditation to check in with your intuition and see what area of life could use a little extra energy

    • Are you looking to boost your finances? Looking for a little more confidence? Or are you working on your self-love? Maybe all of the above?

  2. Research your crystals

    • Once you have a general idea of the themes you want in your bracelet, start to research what crystals help those themes.

    • Citrine and amethyst are ones that I keep in almost every bracelet just because I always want to lead with joy and trust my intuition.

    • Find something green if you’re looking to boost your finances, something pink if you’re looking for love, or something black if you’re needing some grounding and protection.

  3. Go Shop!

    • Any craft store will have a large selection of beads to choose from, so start there. If you have a place like Bead World near you, I suggest going there first. Since you’ll be able to buy individual crystals, it’s usually better for your budget.

    • Bring your crystal research and an open mind. Most times I go in with a set idea and leave with a few different crystals because my intuition pushed me in a new direction.

    • And don’t forget the string/elastic cord that the beads will go on! (Spoken as someone who has definitely forgotten that vital piece)

  4. Set your sacred space

    • Treat this as a special time where you’re creating a magical tool for yourself. Set the mood, light a candle, some incense, and take a moment to pause before jumping right in.

    • I also create a mantra for myself to help eliminate distractions. Something as simple as “I am Love” to repeat to yourself as you make it is huge.

  5. Create!

    • Now that you have everything set, start to arrange and design your bracelet. I aim for a combination of style and substance, but always lean towards substance. It doesn’t have to look pretty to anyone else but you!

    • Then string the beads together and repeat your mantra to yourself as you create it.

  6. Consecrate it

    • Once I’ve finished the bracelet, I charge it with Reiki, and set a final intention for it. Confidence, money, love, joy, intuition, whatever it is that you’ve been focused on. Visualize the bracelet being fully infused with that energy.

    • I put the bracelet in my Reiki Box overnight to give it even more energy, and sometimes even charge it under the Full Moon!

  7. Wear it

    • Now wear it whenever you’re looking for a boost of that energy.

I usually have one main power bracelet that I wear all the time.

It’s infused with an energy I’m working with long term and in all areas of my life.

I also create other ones that have specific areas of focus that I use when needed.

My most recent creation was a money power bracelet that is nothing but beautiful crystals that help me feel prosperous, rich, and abundant.

I wear my money bracelet on Thursdays when I’m doing all my other money magic and let it infuse that power into every bit of magic I do.

And that bracelet that broke?

While I was sad for a few moments (mostly because I was sweeping under the couch), I was excited to make a new one.

It was a reminder from the Universe that I had grown from my previous intention.

As in all things, trust your intuition.

In every step of the process, your intuition is going to guide you to what’s best for you.

Sometimes you’ll start the brainstorm process with one goal in mind, only for it to be completely taken over by your intuition to power up what you really need.

Now good luck, and let me know what you end up with!

Also let me know if you want some help brainstorming, that’s my favorite part! (Well, that and the shopping and the making and the… Ok I guess the whole activity is my favorite.)

Send me a pic after you’ve made yours, and let me know when you see mine hiding in one of my pictures. 😉
