Your Spiritual Executive Board
The power of good leadership in your life.
Leadership
When I was in junior high, I was on the student council even got voted in as president!
Then in high school, I joined the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Commission (shoutout to MYAC!) and also became president there.
In college, I was nominated to be the fundraising chair for a semester.
After graduation, I took management role after management role.
Eventually settling in as the CEO of my own company as part of my leadership journey.
To you Human Design people, my conscious Sun is gate 7, which means I’m always looking to lead.
To you Astrology people, I’m a Leo, I love to be in charge.
And to all you numerology people, I’m a 2 life path. The best way to have harmony is to be in a position to create it.
All this to say that I’ve had a lot of experience being on leadership teams.
It’s taught me the importance of a strategic, complimentary, and helpful executive team.
In junior high and highschool, we called it the “E-Board”, short for Executive Board.
We would have E-board meetings every week to plan out the direction of the meetings and the groups we were in charge of.
As an adult, the names are less fun but the idea is definitely the same.
In the corporate world, it would be the “C-Suite”.
Whatever you want to call it, in all major areas of group leadership, a good executive team helps to keep the group focused and everyone aligned.
The same rules apply to your own life.
Whatever goal you’re looking to accomplish, it helps to have the right team guiding you forward.
Spirit Guides
Whether it be angels, spirits, ghosts, animals, dragons, unicorns, ascended masters, or even crystals, if you’re reading this, then you probably believe in some form of spirit guide.
I found my first animal spirit guide when I was 16 and started meditating at the library.
Ever since then, I’ve worked with many guides for myself and others.
And while there have been times that several guides have come together to help me with a goal, it’s mostly been a one-off kind of thing.
For instance, my reiki guides almost always work as a team with me. I rarely see them separately.
My First Spirit Executive Board
Then I read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
In it, he suggests creating a personal mastermind with leaders, past and present.
I can only imagine what that idea might sound like to someone who has never worked with spirit guides.
To create a council of dead people in your mind and then talk with them?
As a psychic, that made perfect sense and I wondered why I had never thought of it before.
That night, I called to order my first executive team meeting.
I invited six different people, a healthy mix of angels, animals, people, and spirits.
We had a great meeting and I ran it just like I used to run a normal meeting.
I created an agenda, had old and new business, shoutouts, and even IDS’d a few things.
(IDS stands for Issue-Discussion-Solution and is a great way to solve problems in your life and in your business.)
Committees
My practice eventually evolved into having committees rather than one standard board.
I have my reiki crew, my writing team, and a revolving door of other guides in and out to help with whatever I come across.
As I write this, I realize that it might be time to form a new leadership team.
Something to help me keep the rowing in the right direction and make sure I’m making decisions for the highest good of my business.
That’s the power of a good leadership team.
They will hold the higher vision for you, to ensure you make the best decisions.
Choosing Your Team
So how do you pick who’s going to help lead?
The answer is simple (albeit occasionally frustrating)...
Trust your intuition! ✨
Let it guide you to the best team for your highest good.
Start simple and just make a list of everyone and everything that you would trust to guide you.
Who can you include on your list?
Honestly anyone that your intuition pushes you for.
Some might feel uncomfortable (like when you’re stretching for a hard goal) and that’s ok.
Sometimes growth and change is uncomfortable.
People - Both alive and deceased can be invited to your team. If there’s a leader that you look up to and respect, include them on the list. They could be executives, authors, presidents, social workers, your boss, or even your grandmother.
Angels - Whether or not you work closely with angels, they can be a powerful addition to any team. Whether it’s an archangel like Michael or Gabriel, or one of your guardian angels, add them to the list.
Animals - The power and ability of animal magic cannot be understated. If you’re looking for some extra confidence, invite Lion or Peacock. If you’re looking for a new view on something, invite Hawk or Eagle. Look for traits that will help and add them to the list.
Spirit Guides - Any spirit guide you work with can be on the list. Maybe it’s an ancestor, maybe it’s an ascended master, or maybe it’s a collective consciousness that you channel. Any and all can be added to the list.
Once you’ve made the first draft, go back and highlight 4-6 that really stand out to help lead you forward.
With those few in mind, take a few deep breaths, and then visualize yourself inviting them to your executive team.
In my experience, you’ll usually get all “YES!” answers.
Though sometimes a guide will give you a “no” response.
In those times, it’s important to ask why, and then trust the answer they give you.
There have been times that I’ve invited someone that wasn’t the right fit for what I was looking for, and they told me exactly that.
There’s no use in forcing something to work, so in those cases say thank you and move on.
Meeting Time!
Once your team has been decided, pick a consistent time and place to meet.
During that time, turn off your phone, find a place you won’t be distracted, and bring a notebook.
Visualize your team sitting around a big conference room, greet them, hug them, say hello.
Bring any issues you have to the team and let them discuss it out with you.
You’ll be surprised at the creativity of the answers they come up with.
Remember to trust your intuition and your imagination.
The Universe will reveal answers to you from the most interesting of sources.
Sometimes it’s obvious, and sometimes it’s from far beyond your comprehension.
Roll with it and try it out.
Make notes of anything that comes up and even any todos that are generated from the meeting.
As always, trust your intuition in all things and let that be your guiding north star.
